1. Agreement
By installing or using the Kioku Chrome extension or visiting kio-ku.com (collectively, "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The service
Kioku is a Chrome extension that captures conversations from supported AI chat sites (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini) and stores them in your browser's local storage. Optional Pro features include AI auto-tagging and unlimited storage.
3. License (free tier)
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the free tier of the extension for personal or commercial purposes.
4. Pro subscription / Lifetime
Pro Monthly: $6.99/month USD, recurring until cancelled. Cancel anytime; access continues until the period ends.
Lifetime: $49 USD one-time payment. Includes access to all current and future Pro features for the lifetime of the product. We define "lifetime" as the operational lifetime of Kioku as a product (intended to be perpetual).
5. Refunds
- Lifetime: 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email us within 30 days of purchase.
- Monthly: prorated refunds are not offered. Cancel anytime to stop future charges.
6. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the extension beyond what is legally permitted
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Pro license you purchased
- Use Kioku to violate the terms of service of ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini, or any other site
- Use Kioku for illegal purposes
7. Intellectual property
Kioku (the extension code, branding, and website) is the intellectual property of Hayato Uryu. Your conversations and data remain entirely yours.
8. Disclaimer
Kioku is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, or compatibility with future versions of ChatGPT, Claude.ai, or Gemini. The supported sites may change their DOM at any time; we will issue updates as quickly as practical, but we cannot guarantee zero downtime in capture.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Kioku is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for: lost data (please export regularly), missed conversations due to DOM changes, indirect damages, or third-party service outages.
10. Termination
You may stop using Kioku at any time by uninstalling. We may terminate accounts for violations of these Terms with reasonable notice. On termination, your local data remains in your browser; Pro features will be disabled.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection laws.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
